      Management Solutions

Various independent evaluation of ESAMI have concluded that ESAMI is a unique regional institution which offers regional programmes and serves as a professional management resource centre for the region. In this context, ESAMI's policy position is to complement the services of the National Training Institutes (NTIs) and not to compete with them. ESAMI will therefore continue developing memoranda of understanding to ensure collaboration with NTI's, jointly tackling issues of management development, performing joint programming, consultancy and research assignments.

The Institute will continue to apply its competitive advantages and distinctive strengths towards the common objective of contributing to the advancement of the region's socio-economic development. ESAMI will consolidate its position by fully exploiting its comparative advantages which include the following:

      1. The commitment and support of member states

      2. Twenty full-time highly qualified and experienced professional staff recruited on competitive basis from the region.

      3. Good knowledge of the African management problems, thus develop relevant intervention packages. Provides a forum, through its open programmes, for reviewing issues of management in the region.

      4. Through its diverse activities in open programmes, customized courses and consultancy services, ESAMI offers regional knowledge and experience.

      5. Field Offices for easy access by the clients and enhancing our network.

      6. Multiple venues for activities in most countries.

      7. Tuition fees, accommodation and travel costs are two to three times lower, compared to similar training abroad.

      8. Modern training methods and technologies

      9. Responsive and comprehensive in approach and to performing any task

      10. Strong network with national, regional, and international organisations working in management and human resources fields.

      11. High quality and unique programmes and
